Stitched up Annie

Stitched-up Annie got her name from a Raggedy Ann concept in that she is greatly
mended and stitched except that she represents a much different meaning than a
Raggedy Ann doll. Her recycled collage style of pieces & parts come from different parts of the globe.

The expression “stitch up” is British slang To stitch someone up means to trick them so that they are put in a difficult or unpleasant situation, especially one where they are blamed for something they have not done. [British, informal] But also as a verb to join or mend by means of stitches.

Her Vintage body is from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s is somehow delightfully and evenly stained. Her legs have metal and wire and rivets as the method of attachment. Her head is made of a dyed very loosely woven Linen that I had ombre dyed earlier. Her eyebrows follow the line of the darker portion of the dyed linen.

Her legs and feet were slowly stitched and include a bit of a faded Grey Blue vintage
Kantha. Also, her arms and top of her head and lips are made from the same Kantha. Her cheeks and her chocker are made from an Indian cotton Block printed cotton. Her earrings and neck piece are Danish coins.
